Our 3 sheep of the emblematic Soay Scottish breed, hardy and resistant, joined this balance several years ago and contribute with simplicity to the upkeep of the estate as natural lawn-mowers.

The 1971 vintage holds a special place in the life of noted Wine Expert Amyeric de Clouet. Born into a Bordeaux family, he was immersed in the rich culture of wine from an early age. For many years he in fact found wine boring, finding little to interest him… until he tasted a bottle of Château-Figeac 1971: “it was a revelation”. The complexity, depth and aromatic persistence of Figeac 1971 amazed him. This experience marked a turning point in his life, prompting him to follow in his father’s footsteps and become a Wine Expert in his own right, turning his passion for wine into a life-long craft.
